24 days

Till I turn thirty! I am not so sure how I feel about this yet but I guess I will figure it out within the next few weeks! On the day of my actual birthday i will be with ROH in Mississauga, Ontario and I cant think of a better place to be ( besides home or at the Shady Maples breakfast smorgasbord ). Anyways it is sure to be a good time and I cant wait for my birthday pie…I am not a big fan of cake. I know its weird because I have a strange fondness for cake shows and I really like looking at cake but if I had a choice between cake or pie its ALWAYS pie.

Other thank that big exciting event I don't have very much going on…I almost feel like between formspring, facebook and Twitter you already know everything about me. Oh…I have a interesting fact for you…within the first hour I am awake I chew about 4 different pieces of gum! Odd or interesting I am sure it’s something no one knew.

While I sit here and type I am mentally running through all the things I need to do today and seeing if I can fit in some Las Vegas. I got Season one on DVD and I am addicted. I should be able to watch some now while I wait for my laundry but I need to make a car appointment for hopefully today and call my dentist and nutritionist ….should not take up too much time right?

I guess I'll get to it then,

Talk to you soon!

  1. Haven't seen Las Vegas yet(I work nights)but wondered if there was any connection to the seventies cop show of the same name? Speaking of which, since your'e a huge Golden girls fan, did you ever get a chance to see Bea Arthur's old show Maude? I know it would have been way before your time(alas not mine!)but maybee it's been on T.v. land. Anyway Adrienne Barbeau played her daughter and it had this catchy piano-laden theme that will stick in your head . Hope everything comes together great for your B-day!! Best wishes.

  2. That lead up time to birthdays is lovely. Mine is soon too; scorpios unite, or something, I suppose. The whole getting older, progression of time is an interesting feeling, in general. At the university where I'm a grad student, the freshmen are starting to make me feel old--they just seem to get younger and younger every year--my recovery time on heavy lifting has gone significantly up in just a few years and I find it kind of weird to watch wrestling, sometimes, because almost all of the guys I loved when I was younger are retired now, or just look very tired. Well, maybe not Richards... that guy is a freaking robot as far as fitness is concerned, but others, definitely.

  3. I have never seen Maude but know the theme song. I think Las Vegas is canceled and not on prime time anymore. I catch reruns during the day.

I agree age is a weird progression but I would never want to give it up. I am really happy to be done with my younger years but I was a real stupid kid

  4. Yeah i just turned 41 in August. I remember when I was younger how fatalistic I was about reaching 40. To me that was when the decline was supposed to happen. How silly!! I thought my best days were going to be behind me at this point. If anything i'm having a great time, having gotten over some health problems I feel better than ever and have every reason to believe my 40's could turn out to be the best time ever!! There are so many creative projects I want to do and places I want to travel. Oh well,I suppose the point is life is what you make of it no matter what age you are. The only downside that I've found is that the WWE has yet to release a Georgia Championship Wrestling DVD to feed my nostalgia craving. Maybee i can create a public outcry. Later.

  5. Being stupid is DEFINITELY part of being a kid and a teenager. I never did the stereotypical 'crazy' things, but football and wrestling and stuff leads you to a different kind of crazy--like the kid I knew who used to swing out of trees on a rope, during football camp, trying to knock the rest of us into a ditch on the way back from practice in the middle of the night. I think he actually plays in the NFL now, so, maybe the extra agility training was good for him...

  7. I've always felt the same way about cake and pie. When I was a kid, my mom used to make both for my birthday parties (that way, "normal" kids could take the cake...and I could eat what I truly desired). : D

P.S. Yeah...turning "30" just means that you've been (shoot) kickin' ass for over a decade! Maybe I'll send you something cool, for remembering Jon's birthday..."maybe." ; )

  9. I agree on the whole pie thing. My last B Day I made myself a homemade apple pie.I luv cake but it gets alittle redundant. Though I don't mind the sugary goodness of a cookie-cake once in a blue moon.

As far as getting older, life is what you make of it and the best days can come at anytime.
