The Only Way is Suplex interview

Interview: Sara Del Rey talks WWE, Castagnoli, Danielson – and being the Queen of Wrestling
Sara Del Rey has an ambition this year; she wants to be signed by WWE.

I was a little surprised when I heard. After all, we’re all very aware of the attention that WWE pays to women’s wrestling (ie a cursory glance every couple of weeks or so): why would a technically brilliant wrestler, revered the world over, want to move there?

And then you think about it. No matter how depressing the women’s division may be, the WWE is still the biggest professional wrestling stage. Of course Del Rey wants to work there.

  1. You need to give us wrestlers that are 100% awsome wrerstlers that know how to work in the ring so well like Sara Del Rey for one, last best one was Awsome Kong so do give my hero Sara Del Rey a contract for a wish to come true and why do thay need to bring these girls in that are in there early 20's come on theres no more modeling

    Don't you think Sara?

    1. That was Russo and he is out of TNA now. Now that Dave Lagana took his place something like that won't happen again. The Beautiful People were just a stable a while ago being pushed and although it was fun. it's been gone and not all the Knockouts had to be in the Bp's. ODB, Stock, Tara etc etc. Awesome Kong was actually having great matches with them unlike she is used now in the E as a female Boogeyman. Kong got noticed by being in TNA and if Sarah want's to still be the queen of wrestling she would be smart to go to impactwrestling #TNA and take on the likes of history's most dominant female wrestler, the legend TARA Victoria.

  4. Well, I still wish you luck, but I'll say again that in a perfect world WWE would not be the only big stage to perform on.

  5. With Kong back and ripping the diva's apart, perhaps the only person brave enough to stand up to her is SDR.

  6. Sorry, but the biggest stage for women's wrestling is the knockouts division that sold out 12.5K+ fans in UK. The Knockouts never miss any TNA events & get to be on TNA PPV covers. Right now Gail Kim is the queen of mainstream wrestling. The TNA Womens Champ & also holds one 1/2 of the knockout tag team titles. Lance Storm holds her in high regard. She is highly utilized now. In wwe, the actual womens wrestlers become underlings to the x-dancer model Diva types & even they don't get featured at all alot of times missing ppv shows.
From Gail Kim's story for anyone not ignorant would listen to personal expirience & now Natalya, wwe farting on her legacy. The only time she was being used was the THD tag team was around but then DH Smith was released now works for the TNA project. So Sara please consider a 1-2 year to get your name out & let us fans see you on TV. If you are the best go to the best women's division if the contract is to your leasure. You have friends in high places in TNA, cough LAGANA. Or if you want to firsthand see the mistreatment of the divas, the politics & having a bigger chance of us not seeing you featured at all. Then keep waiting for a call that might not come from wwe Soap Opera entertainment because I don't see you as a x-model type which wwe looks to have a majority of. In impactwrestling their is more diversity than ever right now & fans don't see your strong wrestling ability or your style try to get altered.
